just noticed the ammonia sticker went to green ( about .5ppm ammonia) after my QT tank has been running for about 2 weeks.

Any tips on brining it down ? Or is it ok ...

If you have any live creatures in the QT, ammonia is not okay. It's deadly. Do a large water chsnge and use an ammonia binding liquid additive that will render the ammonia harmless.

If you are just cycling the QT and you don't have any fish, corals or other inverts in it yet, just leave it alone.

What kind of additive ? I have live nitrifying bacteria (dr tims - one and only) and some microbe-lift special blend

Seachem Prime is the most common/effective method. You should always have some on hand.
