Youre likely using API tests and as mentioned Nitrites can be disregarded and ammonia may or may not be accurate. Place sponge media for nitrate control and start added meds whether it be coppersafe and/or PraziPro
There’s no fish in the tank I have 2 sponge filters 1 hang on filter tanks been running for 5 weeks

Over 50 Ammonia is 0.25 nitrites is 50 nitrates 0

Oh just saw it, you said nitrites, ignore them they mean nothing in a saltwater tank. In fact, stop testing for them all together. Your cycle is done with zero ammonia and nitrates available.
I have a 90 gallon that’s going to be my display tank that’s already cycled but the 40 is my quarantine tank any suggestions how many fits to start out with in the quarantine tank
