Hey everyone, I just had a quick question regarding fish load in a quarantine tank. Little info on my setup: I am running a 20 gallon high tank with about 15lbs of rock and a layer of about one inch sand. I have a heater, filter that i can run carbon or rowaphos on (running none as of now) and a thermometer. I opted to use this as more of an observatory tank and treat the fish with prazipro and metroplex. I don't like treating fish with copper, and if i see any signs of ich i will use tank transfer method. Anyway back to my question. I have about 15lbs of live rock, and about 10 lbs of it has a really good amount of bacteria. I let it cycle for three and a half weeks and during this time I ghost fed the tank. During the cycle I never detected any ammonia, and got some phosphate readings (.15ppm) and some nitrate as well(2.5ppm). After the three and a half weeks I added an one spot fox face. I have had him for three days now and he is doing fine. I have a 93 gallon that he will be going in. I went to my LFS to pick up algae sheets for him, and I saw a really nice copper band that is eating frozen food. I was wondering if it would be fine to have both the fox face and the copper band in the tank during quarantine or if this would be too much at once for the tank. Both fish are around 2 and a half inches long. Normally I do not like rushing things in fish tanks, but rarely do I ever see copper bands that healthy and eating frozen in store. Just wondering and wanted advice. Thanks!
