I'm going to set up a QT tank to run when I get new live stock. What are some recommendations on what I need as far as equipment and products to keep on hand? I think i'm going to use a 15-20 gal tank. What filter should I use? Heater? products, medication to keep on hand?

These are what I am using right now. Tank, HOB, heaters, hiding places. Sand for a wrasse. One doesn’t even have a light. Filter media that spends a month in my DT sump first with bio Spira and Stability for good measure. Ammonia alert badges especially when running copper. Not generally necessary for TTM.

The links posted are great ones to answer your questions. To break down the basic QT for you though....

You'll need a tank large enough to house the fish you want to keep for a period of 30-90 days depending on any problems that arise during the QT process, a power filter rated for at least double the tank size you are using (fill the filter with sponge that has either been seeded from a disease free tank or use a bacteria in a bottle product to seed it.), appropriately sized heater, ammonia alert badge, pvc elbows for hiding and possibly a small powerhead or airpump/stone in case you need it.
