Hey. Im wondering is it ok to use a quarantine set up to quarantine coral if the tank has had copper in it? The tank has been thoroughly cleaned and empty for a month.

Once copper has been in your rocks and other media, it’s gonna be difficult to get it out. I would personally never put inverts in a tank that’s had copper in it.

Very difficult to pull, as copper will keep leaching from silicon, rocks, sand ... and you won't be able to know the real cause if corals in qt don't do well. If u go ahead with it I'd have polyfilter and copper removing resin in filtration for months.

Just bought a 20 long at Petco about an hour ago. Can’t beat $1 a gallon for a quarantine tank.
