I started to use quarantine system when a single tang infected my whole DT. And from that moment, I promised to my self that I’ll quarantine all the new fishes. Should I dose copper to my quarantine tank even when the fish don’t show any disease?

You’ll get lots of opinions on this, but my basic quarantine is 30 days of copper and 14 days praziquantel, them 14 days observation.

That's a good philosophical question. Whether or not to prophylactically treat fish with meds is highly debated.

As far as I know, all fish handle prazi just fine. Some fish, like lions and mandarins, don't handle copper. There are also other methods for ich, like Tank Transfer Method or Chloroquine. And some folks just observe and treat as necessary and others don't QT at all.

I do either TTM or copper, and always use prazi on every new fish.
