Quarantine?

Should I quarantine the first fish before it goes into the newly cycled tank? Or is this unnecessary since there is nothing else in there?

Purpose of QT is to assure there are no issues that arise that would otherwise end up in your display tank

Even with no other livestock in the tank, diseases can still be introduced with new fish that can be hard to eradicate in a tank with calcareous materials, such as rocks and sand.
These diseases or issues may live undetected until you add more fish/corals or add other stresses to the system.

Quarantine should be for all new additions (technically even coral/invertebrates/"live" materials) if it is to be effective. Any living additions can be disease vectors with long-term effects.
