Do I need to medicate new fish in quarantine if they show no signs of illness. Or do I treat them anyway. I have a new blue tang and blue throat trigger in a quarantine tank and they show no signs of illness. Should I just keep an eye on them to make sure nothing shows up for 4 weeks then add them to display tank

Definitely quarantine either way. Unless it’s a fish that doesn’t handle meds well, I would prefer to treat. Last thing you want is to go through an observational qt for a disease to finally pop up once the fish gets into the dt.

For me personally, it depends on the fish. If a wrasse or sensative fish, I will not use my usual meds. I will always use a prazi dosing of at least three treatments.
If not a sensative fish, I will use CP (as I actually have some).
If I see any bacterial symptoms, I use a triple cure type med.
I also will dose metronidazole either food or in water directly.
I do treat, but i make sure the fish are eating nicely and have observation periods before and after treatment.
