Quarantining a Dragonet and a wrasse together

hey folks,

I made the dumb mistake to buy a mandarin aswell as a yellow fin flasher wrasse and qt them together.

Afaik the dragonet doesnt tolerate copper while the wrasse doesnt handle chloroquine phosphate.

I only have one quarantine tank and i treated with general cure allready.

Both fish are eating and besides a little dmg on the mandarins pectoral fin the look healthy. ( i treated that with 2 doses kanaplex)

What would u do?

How is the copepod population. I never QT mandirn dragonet. It’s not worth it. Unless you have a huge sustainable copepod population in that QT and it is mature the manderin is unlikely to make it. You could try outing copepods you buy in there but I would just put it in my main display assuming that has a good pod population. Once the manderin is in the main display treat the wrasse as best suits you and him. If you do not have a tank that is mature and has a pod population give the manderin back to the LFS or someone else that can keep care of it. I to have made the same mistake of impulse buying a manderin and trust me from experience it’s better to give him away then to hope for the best and slowly see him starve.

Thanks for the response even tough im not concerned about being able to qt the dragonet but rather quarantining 2 fish that dont handle the medications well that the other one does.

The mandarin was eating frozen food before i purchased it and i solely feed both fish frozen for the short period of quarantine 2-4 times a day.
