I am currently quarantining all my fish due to an Ich outbreak in my DT. My 2 Clowns had no signs or symptoms of anything and were acting and eating normally. Dosed with GC first in case of additional parasites. 2 days after first dose of GC, one of my Clowns died. Did small water change as directed and began dosing Copper Safe slowly. Gave 2nd dose of GC 6 days after first dose. Noticed lots of spots on my Wrasse, so also dosed 1/2 tsp. Copper Safe. This morning all were fine and when I got home from work my second Clown was dead.
Question 1: I've read multiple threads saying that GC and Copper Safe are fine together, but does anyone know of this being contraindicated with Clowns?
Question 2: I finally have both QTs (started Royal Gramma first in separate QT b/c he was really sick. Used same process with him and he's doing great). What is the best way to keep QTs at therapeutic levels of CS? I've been testing daily with Hannah Checker and adding tiny bit of CS when level drops below 2 ppm. Is there a better way to keep them at 2 ppm?
Last question: now that both QTs are hovering around 2 ppm, is it ok to add Royal to other QT for the remainder of the treatment and subsequent observation while DT finishes fallow time?
Sorry this is so long... I've got a lot going on! TYIA for any help or suggestions!
