Quarantining fish that make a sand bed their home

What is the best way to QT fish that usually live in a sand bed (i.e. some wrasses, sand sifting gobies, or other fish that generally live in, sleep in, or eat from sand)?

A small amount of sand you can throw away after the QT process is what I use. I keep it in a tupperware container to keep it contained.

hmmmmmmmm, not sure ... I read some where on here to stick a Tupperware bowl of sand in the QT.
Going to follow along ... Will be getting a wrasse for new tank

Most add a dish of sand of some sort.I QT'ed and treated wrasses with no sand. No problem. Have a good lid on QT for jumpers.

all three have it right. ^^^ a dish of sand will make them more comfortable. Most gobies can handle it without the sand until they go into the display, but if they are overly stressed a dish of sand is an option.
