Quarantining live rock

So do y out guys think this is a great idea? Started doing it with my fish and coral. It lets me kill off vermatid snails. Asterinas and any pest I don’t want. Than when the time comes. It goes into the display

Yep that's a good plan. Get some eyes on the rock and pick off any pests!

Why don't you use dry rock?

Depends on the source of the rock for me - if it was really suspicious then I'd nuke it. Either a citric acid bath or bleach. Clean it off as well as possible and then cure it in a tub for a couple of months to make it 'live' again.
