After much reading on the subject, I’ve decided I want to get some chromis. I understand there’s a chance they’ll murder eachother over time, but I’ve read nearly as many success stories as failures. Combined with a 260 gallon tank and 12-15 chromis, I am hoping it won’t be a problem.
Anyways, obviously my quarantine tanks are nowhere near that size, I have a 20 long, 20 tall and a 55. To try and curb aggression while they’re in QT, I plan to do 6-7 at a time in the 55 gallon with eggcrate dividers at the ready if they don’t behave. There will also be some rock from my DT in there as I don’t plan to medicate unless symptoms show due to a scarcity of fish meds (yay, Canada!).
What do folks think of my plan, besides the obvious challenges of multiple, potentially homicidal fish? Would you do anything differently?
Appreciate any input, thank you.
