Shot with a Canon T2i and 50mm 1.8, with my new extension tubes :) ... I posted these in my tank thread but I would like to start being active in the photography subforum as well as it's a passion of mine and I thought you might appreciate them... I'd love some tips but these are literally my first ever pics messing around with my extension tubes so be gentle! No post processing has been done whatsoever (besides watermarking my favourite)... Enjoy!

These look awesome! Curious as to your lighting... What are you running. Also are you at full open f1.8 on the lens? And what speed?

The bokeh is rad ;)
Shaun

Thank you!

Lighting wise...
  • 4xATI 24’” 24Watt T5HO (3xBlue Plus 1x Purple Plus) in a Sun Blaze 24” x 4 T5HO fixture (Workhorse 5 Ballast)--I just recently decided to add this to my system sept 2015
  • DIY LED’s surrounding the T5’s - 18x Cree XP-E Royal Blue 3W, 10x Cree XP-G Cool White R5 3W powered by 2x Meanwell ELN 60-48D drivers--these have been on my tank for the past 5 years
I can't remember which combination of the lights I had when taking these pictures... I will have to start taking these notes, helpful when I find "the right formula".

I believe I was running f1.8 for most shots, although my favourite one (the watermarked one) was at f5.6 I believe. I kept playing with the shutter speed as well. I can check the numbers on a few pics and post it when I get home.

btw, my name's Shaun as well ;) ...even spelled the right/best way!
