i just thought that i would start a thread sharing my reef experience with a queen angelfish. First off i got him about 3 months ago for around 150$ and he was about 3 inches. i have a 90 gallon and yes some of you may think this is to small but when he gets to big i have a friend with a 500 gallon tank that will take him in. Along with the angelfish i have a Blue tang, Yellow tang, paired snowflake clowns, 3 yellow tail damsels, coral banded shrimp, about 75 hermits, tiger serpent star. he doesnt bother any of my fish. he just minds his own business. As far as coral goes i have a orange mushroom, about 6 blueberry mushrooms, 2 ricordias, alot of green star polyps, alot of kenya trees, big leather finger coral, 4 heads of frogspawn, 7 heads of zoas that randomly appeared, chunk of polyps and my baby which is about a 8 inch diameter toadstool mushroom. He doesnt pick on any of my coral at all. all he does is go to the bottom of the rock they are attached to and eat the algae off. The picture that i will be attaching is before i got the yellow and blue tang. But my point here is for people that think they cant have a queen angel in a reef its just the type of temperment your angel has and what he has a nick for eating off of. If you have a angel or fish that is considered not reef safe just chime in and id love to see your pics
