I am wondering if anyone has experience with a queen angel and gorgonians. I have a Caribbean biotope tank in the library at school that has several species of gorgs growing very well right now, but I would love a queen to be the showcase fish. I don't want to introduce one though if it is going to eat all of the gorgs that have taken a while to get the size they are. I've heard that gorgs tend to release noxious chemicals so angels tend to leave them alone. Thanks for the feedback.

It is on the small side for a queen. It is a 180 super tall 48"x24"x36". I also have a 360 in my classroom I could move it to if/when it out grows the tank.

That is a fairly good size tank. You definitely would want to start with a juvenile queen angel to have the best chance of your gorgs not getting eaten. As for gorgs being toxic I've heard of this but never seen any fish becoming sick from eating them. Some fish have a tolerance for toxic corals. As for toxins released into the water column it is possible. If you see any nipping or the gorgs being eaten I would say either the fish or the gorgs would have to go. Run a carbon reactor to help remove any toxins released.
