So I recently acquired 4 ACAN frags from a friend of mine. When he bought them they looked decent. Not the best shape. He had them in his tank for about a week before they started going downhill. They started losing their colors and receding. He gave them to me so I can try and revive them. I know 2 of the 4 frags are in really bad shape. My question is can I get them back. When I feed I do notice the mouths move on them. Also 2 of the 4 have regained some of their color back. The other 2 I just see their mouth sunken in but no color. First pic is what they were. They were not in the best shape to start. Sorry pictures are not the greatest.

Depending on lighting and flow from the previous tank to your own, that can be it. I would place them in medium flow and light, feed them fatty and meaty foods 2 or more times thru the week [spot feeding each colony] and within a matter of time, they will be fat and happy. Once they are happy move to higher flow and medium light.

My coral preference is Acan's,so I have been thru the ringer with them. Never once lost a frag. Had 30+ frags at one point they grew from 1 head into 15-20 polyp mini colonies in no time. I feed 3 times a week, each head,LPS MAX,SPS MAX,Red Sea Amino's A & B,ReefRoids and 1 other food I can't remember mixed all together in a dosing cup. Then I would add 1-2 drops every few days of Phols Xtra.

They dont look bad. Maintain moderate lighting and water flow and feed 2-3X per week. Water quality will play a role as to how they improve and color up

To further what others have said, I would dip them in a Iodine based dip, like Seachem coral dip to help them recover. I have seen others use Revive as well to do the same.

I agree with the above. With one thing, I just disagree. My opinion is that there is no need to feed yet. When they adapt, then you can slowly feed.
