I have a 180 gal acrylic tank that needs a center brace.......The original brace was removed.....I was wondering if it would be better to use a 1 inch acrylic rod or 1/2 inch acrylic to create a center brace..What size acrylic should I use....I did a leak test today and noticed bowing in the back wall of the tank......I have rebuilt this tenecor tank (6 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet ) and want to find a way to fix this. ....Thanks

If its 6' I'd go with 2 braces, divide the tank up into 3s. Then use a 4"x.5" acrylic pieces.
