Neptune Systems Apex Trident and the apex system 2016 whats the difference between them do they both do the same thing or am i stupid

Trident is similar to a doser and is chemistry management whereas Apex system is a controller for components and modules

Yes, it only works on the 2016 and ApexEl.

There also on the buy/sell forum here averaging around $850. I'm on every email list out there and still haven't been able to get one.

No, it connects to the trident to test calcium, magnesium and alkalinity.

Those are ph probes, orp probes, and salinity probes and a temp probe. Those come with the apex 2016.

i put a trident in my wish list on BRS and while in the middle of a cruise (this past week) got a notification that they were in stock so I immediately put down my frozen rum runner and put it in my cart. Should be delivered this coming week. For those of you that have them up and running, are you still happy that you spent the $$$ ?

Incredibly happy with mine. It talks to my DOS and doses everything. Keeps my system dead stable.

I do both. dosing with triton core 7. So far very stable and hands off.

Very happy. I use it to control my dos as well.

The apex is the computer/brain. There are many pieces of equipment that hook up to that computer and do different things. The trident is one of those pieces of equipment and it tests water parameters like calcium, alk, mag.
