I'm not sure the pH is that low since pH did not rise higher than 8.0 with extensive outdoor aeration, and I would not conclude you cannot do it, but I might try some additional steps as well as keeping alk itself higher than 7 dKH.

What is your alk and do you add anything to maintain it?

Tank is 7 months old red sed 350 i have 3 lps 7 zoas 7 fish and just added some macroalgae plants. 80 pounds carib liferock and 80 pounds ocean direct sand snails and a couple crabs
