Question about Bartlett's anthias

I just purchased a single male Bartlett for my 60 gallon cube. I am curious if I could get away with a single female or do they have to be in groups of 3 or more. My current stock include medium sized black white clown, citron clown goby and orchid dottyback about 2 Inches and extremely mellow. I have a fair amount of rock work with nice caves all over. Thanks for the help

These guys can be by themselves but they're so cool looking in a group. LOL If you can try to go pick out all females and have one turn into a male.

I already have the male. I would like to add a single female so he has someone to swim with. However I have read they have to be in groups of 3 or bigger if grouped. I fear that 3 might be to much for my tank size, which is why I want to add the single female. I have also read that I could add a single of a different type of anthias. anyone have any experience with a tank my size. Its 24x24x24

I have a pair in my 50 long. They're doing fine, but I don't know how common that is.

If you have similar shaped fish, the males will go after them when he feels the need to dance.

A single Anthias in a 60 gallon is pushing it. A group in a 60, or anything smaller, and sooner of later you will experience problems, likely in severe stress as the animal grows. One Bartlett will probably be alright in your 60, just make sure you have a tight fitting lid. Bartletts are easier Anthias to keep than many others, though they are excellent jumpers.
