so i purchased a bi color over a month ago and I had him in QTfor 30 days just as a precaution. Never saw any signs of disease during that 30 days. I did give him a FW dip with no signs of flukes. Yesterday I added him to my 55g and the only other fish is a maroon clown. The maroon would bite him every so often but the tension has worn down. I've noticed him twitch his head and also I have a pederson cleaner shrimp and he's constantly trying to get cleaned. I know normally that is a sign of a external parasite. He doesn't seem stressed. He swims around and follows the maroon around. He's very hardy and loves to eat anything I put in the tank. I just don't get it. He was QT for 30 days and now that i added him to a bigger tank he's twitching and wanting to get cleaned. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thank you.

If no flukes showed during the FW dip and velvet did not turn up during QT, then my best guess would be marine ich: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/ich-cryptocaryon-irritans.191226/

Ich trophonts can remain confined to the gills, out of sight, if you are just passively observing in QT.

The only other thing I can think of is if possibly microbubbles in the water are irritating the gill plates and causing him to twitch. Or some other irritant is "messing" with his gills.

Was the 30 day Qt observation only? If so, then I agree with ich. It's so easy to overlook ich since you may not always see signs of it outwardly.
