I have a fluval spec 5 , and a HOB 2.5 gallon refugium. I recently found a baby Eunice worm in the largest of my live rock which has been in my tank for 4.5 weeks now. I removed the rock, and replaced it with some dry rock, as seeing and reading of this worm has honestly frightened me from buying more live rock, anyway my question is. The dry rock is a little smaller then the live rock it replaced, and a lot lighter. I was hoping I can make up for the loss of bio filtration by adding a bag of Fluval Biomax to my refugium in the first stage above my bag of Chemipure, does this sound like a acceptable idea?

Yeah that will work. Maybe do a couple smaller water changes to help out the system a little till things get re established.

ya I freaked out when I saw the baby Eunice worm, and just ditched the rock, going to try to stick with dry rocks from now on. I am too much of a worry wart. Thak you for the reply, will get a media bag, and add some fluval biomax into my refugium.
