I have some dead "live rock" That I let sit out in the sun for a few months and dry out. Recently I wanted to use a piece of it. I rinsed it in RO/DI and then soaked it in a bleach & water solution for a week. I then rinsed it and let it soak for another week in RO/DI. I then rinsed it again and let it dry and could still smell bleach.

Is this OK to put into my tank or should I soak it again? And/or use a declorinator with it?

If your really concen just leave in in a bucket for another week with vinegar, it should help you feel more "safe".

Cheers!

I soaked in dechlorinator after bleach (two weeks each) and had no smell of bleach after. I changed out 100% of the dechlorinator and RO/DI after a week.

Seeing as there's a couple people on here actually dosing bleach, I'm not really worried, but more overly cautious I guess.

The odor is faint but can still sorta smell it. Just wasn't positive with LPS if it should be less odor or if it would be OK.
