Question about Bubble Magus Curve 5

I just put water into my 40 to do a leak test. Of course I found a few which were my fault. Forgot to tighten the unions. Now all is good but I turned on protein skimmer just to check it and the bubbles are not so good. My only thought is because it’s currently freshwater and no salt right now. Here’s a picture. Tried video and it won’t play . Am I worrying for nothing?

Freshwater doesn't foam up like saltwater does. On top of that there is no dead organics or anything for the skimmer to skim, so it likely wouldn't foam up much even if it was in saltwater

Okay. Thanks. I’m just worrying for nothing. On a side note this herbie drain works great but anytime I mess with powerheads and change their power I have to adjust the herbie. Well my main objective is complete. No leaks!
