Hello, I went to a different LFS then I normally do 3 weeks ago and picked up a Clove polyp frag. It looked great up until about 3 days ago I noticed that it wasn't opening. Last night I looked after the lights went out with a flashlight and found what I thought were 2 snails. I pulled them off (I don't have snails in my tank) and last night did some research online and from what I could find I believe they were clove eating nudibranch's. I found one site that had a picture and it also showed what their eggs look like. Today I pulled the frag out and pulled off 2 eggs and could not find any additional adult ones. I'm hoping I got them all. My questions is how do I know if my clove polyps are already dead. It's weird that they took this long but I guess maybe if the eggs were attached when I picked it up that's why I didn't see them. I would appreciate any advice or thoughts.

Give them a few days hopefully they open again all I know is in my tank they grow like weeds !!!
