Question about clownfish!

A guy near me has a clownfish that's pretty much black with the brightest blue circle on its head. It's like an electric blue. He says it's a type of maroon clownfish but I cant find it anywhere online. Anyone got any info on these?

I mean like info on this blue circle clownfish haha, I've found a lot of info on the regular maroon clown

I think it's a mutated coloration. I have a pair of frostbite clowns and one of them has a blue tint to her face and head.

YES that third clownfish looked a lot like it. Except his only had a blue circle on its head. But that's the type of blue it was, they look a lot alike. So then are these hard to come by? He offered to sell it to me and I declined thinking it was common lol

He was asking $140 for it

Doesn’t sound unreasonable for the ‘designer’ types, but if it’s a maroon, it will be an aggressive tank mate.

Dude.. a BLUE clown? I’d buy it, but as said above, it will be aggressive towards other fish so it might be nice for a frag tank or something with few other fishy inhabitants

I'm at the edge about it lol, it really is one of a kind. Are maroons really that mean??

I dont have a picture of it right now, but I found a very similar picture of it online. They are not exactly the same but pretty much the same design. The one I'm talking about has the blue circles outlining the white circles if that makes sense. But it's not just a tint of blue, it's like a bright blue circle haha. This picture does not do the actual one justice lol
