Question about dendro: what are the little yellow strings?

I've had this for a few months and it has been growing great. Today was the first day it never opened up and it has yellow stringy "things" all over the sides shown below. Would anyone know what the yellow strings are? They don't look like babies.

I did a 10% water change and was persistent to try to get it to eat. That's abot it. Guess I got lucky.
