so I just bought a brand new mp 1o and love it but was wondering how to get it to work with the app to control it where ever, on the app it only lets you log in not sign up?

Do you have the reeflink module? In order to control any of the ecotech products (vortechs, radions, vectras) wirelessly you need the reeflink module. The vortechs can communicate with each other wirelessly to create master and slave relationships, but you cannot control them from your phone without reeflink

would I need the mpw10 then I went with the mp10 because I was only going to put one power head on the tank

works good, and is the only way to wirelessly communicate with vortechs (assuming you bought the MP10WQD)

If its the 235 its not wireless. Even with the reeflink it won't work. You'd have to add the RF module to the MP10's brain box which the RF module is another 40 to 45 bucks. So even if you got the reeflink it wouldn't be able to communicate with it.
