Just purchased Ecotech RMS track, hanging kit, and sliders for hanging multiple radions over my 72" tank. My question is how far apart to place the hanging cables. My instinct is to evenly space them at 24" and 48", but instructions from Ecotech imply that the cables should be closer to the ends of the track. Anyone with experience with rms hanging kit willing to share their setup? Do the hanging brackets need to be on each end or evenly spaced in the middle?

IMO from using the 70" RMS track and the RMS tank mounts on each end of my 72" tank and having to deal with the sag in the rail, if I used the ceiling hanging cables on a new 70" rail, I would be tempted to place a cable at the 18" mark from each end. ( I have a 50" rail and was planning on hanging 3 gen 4's from it with the cables at 9" from the end with 33" in the middle)

Interesting that you had to deal with sag in the rail. Any reason not to put cables 23-24” from each end of a 70” rail? Seems that would give the most support. Why 18”?

No reason, just my first thoughts were to have more support closer to the ends.
The 70" rail does flex a little. That's why I went with the shorter 50" rail.
But I suppose after further thought, maybe having the support closer to the middle would keep it from sagging in the middle.

I am thinking about purchasing the 70.5" RMS rail for my 72 " tank and am now finding this issue in some reviews. Is it possible to add a third cable from another hanging kit which would effectively have 2 cables toward the ends and one in the middle?
