Question about fishing line

Silly question....

I know I’m probably over thinking this but does anybody see anything wrong with hanging a media bag using some spider wire? Is there anything is this that could leach anything potentially negative into my tank? Again I know I’m probably overthinking this lol....

Spectra or Dyneema, It's all polyethylene and biologically inert so. your good to go.

I appreciate that, I was actually just researching dyneema after pondering taking it out, that stuff is pretty amazing and crazy strong

I would only caution from my experience as an angler that some braid has a wax-like coating. I'm not sure if it could cause an issue or not.

Coatings, when applied to these braided lines, are PTFE. Chemically inert, hydrophobic and food safe. FWIW.

Good to know. It's useful. I've even used braid to sew heavy materials. But it does cast much further when the coating is worn off
