Question about Fishless cycle water parameters

Hi Everyone,

I'm on day 11 today for my fishless cycle with Dr. Tim's and tested my water parameters not too long ago, it is currently reading:

PH 7.9
ammonia .1~
Nitrite 1
Nitrate 100

The guide never says to test nitrate, but I decided to after watching some videos.

When it's closer to 0 ammonia, would you still add fish? Dr. Tim's chart says to a 25% water change on day 14, but if tomorrow the ammonia reads 0 is it safe to transfer my fish over or should I do a water change prior to day 14?

Hi all Iv just started the fishless cycle with Dr Tims one and only and Dr tims amonia I have a waterbox 100.3 gallon I have placed 400 drops ( 4 drops per gallon ) it is day 2 and I still have 0 amonia is this normal Thanks

Technically you could introduce fish to your tank when ammonia is undetectable, especially if you are planning to run FOWLR, but I personally would wait.
I would add another, smaller dose of ammonia and check if level drops fast and if so you have enough nitryfying bactria population.Another issue are Nitrates.
Nitrates of 100 ppm ( if this is accurate,)probably wouldn't harm fish, but you cannot keep corals in this environment. There's no way your Nitrates will drop significantly in nearest future as it takes many months to establish healthy reef tank with denitryfying bacteria.
The only way to lower Nitrates in early stages is to do water changes and not 25%, but more like 75% or more as ideally you would like your nitrates below 30 or 20 ppm for reef tank.
Personally I am not a big fan of rushing up in reefing hobby, but it became a hot trend now to stock your tank on day 3 or so.
