Hello everyone,

I have just purchased another powerhead for my tank is it a WP25 for my 50 gallon 24x22x22. I already had a mp10 running for a while but felt like I needed more flow throughout the tank. Now that I have the WP25 in my tank I have a ton of flow...maybe to much? The WP25 was kicking up sand in my tank but once it was on for about 4 hours or so it stopped and left me with a bare spot with no sand on the bottom of my tank. The spot is in the back of the tank where you cant see it but piled up about 4-5 inches of sand in a couple of places. Is there any problem with this or should it be just fine? My gut says its fine but just wanted to check and see what other people might think. I think my Blenny is a bit mad because with the new flow he can't really sleep where he has been sleeping....

Thanks,

Aaron

I have a 55 and I am currently running a WP40 and MP10 (not at full force). All of my corals are loving the flow.

What kind of coral do u have ?
If your running a sps tank them the more flow the merrier .
Just make sure u keep the pump high enough in the tank where the pump won't cause a sand storm .

I think you'll be fine with that amount of flow. Just don't run the pumps full blast.
