Ok here is my plan. I have had a 20 gallon tank setup and maintained for months with the intention of it being a QT. I haven't used it for that yet and so haven't put any kind of medication in it. I need to remove some Kenya tree from my DT along with Xenia and green hairy mushroom. I plan on using forceps to remove the coral from the rock, and place it in the QT sitting in a Tupperware containers with coral rubble and hope it attaches naturally. Couple questions.

Will this work well enough?

I bought the coral rubble today in a big box. Should I let the rubble soak for a couple weeks before I try this or is it ok to go ahead and do it today?

Yeah, it’ll work! I’m gonna frag some Kenya tree or mushrooms onto a glass bottle sometime soon. Just make sure the water is gentle so they can attach. Good luck! Let us know when they attach! :D

Yes that is a great method to get softies to attach. I put a mesh or gutter guard top on the Tupperware bowl so that the frags don't blow away. After a couple of weeks many of them will be attached but it depends on the species of coral.
