I currently have a yellowtail damsel that's been there for about a month and a half. In another month or so I want to add a clownfish pair to my 30 gallon nano reef. I know damsels can be aggressive, and with the yellowtail being in the tank before the clowns, I wanted to know if a pair of ocellaris clowns would be harassed to death by the damsel, or would their aggressions balance each other out.

It’s possible but move the landscape around a little which may cause the damsel to focus on a new hiding place than the clowns

You may also try the mirror trick. Thats when you put a mirror in or against the tank, so the current inhabits go at the reflection and ignore the tank mate. Giving the new tank mate time to get acclimated.
