I'm still pretty new to the hobby (this is my first new thread, so hopefully, I'm doing it right.) I had a great time at the live sale last weekend and bought several corals. I had a list prepared of the kinds of corals that I wanted, but then I got caught up in the whole thing and made a couple purchases based on "prettiness" and price. One is a favite, which I've read is quite aggressive. I have a 20 gallon nano tank, and had planned for only peaceful corals (though I have a couple acans and a shroom), so this impulse purchase may not be right for me, but...I was wondering how best to handle the mixture of corals. I can set them on one side of the tank but it's not a huge tank, and don't want a really big DMZ in the middle of the tank. Would it be best to set up another nano tank to house just the aggressive ones?

In the longer term, I'll be getting a bigger tank (I'm addicted), so the smaller nano wouldn't be a forever home, but might be a couple of years home.

What are you're current corals? I think you will be fine so long as you keep them separated enough that the sweepers don't touch other corals. A lot of people run a mixed reef including myself.

ya just keep them a few inches away at least. What favia is it? Have the name or picture of it? That will help.
I think most of my favias don't have long sweepers so should be fine. I have one about 2 in away from some acans.

It was called Lemon Lime Favia...pic attached. It's from the receipt, so a small one.

I have candy canes and a toadstool, leptoseris and leptastrea and a pagoda cup and have birdsnest coming with the order.

Yes you will be fine then. Just keep a little space between them. I would also consider running carbon if you don't to prevent chemical warfare.

Thanks. I can easily add carbon to my setup. Hadn't thought of that at all.

Lol DMZ
I agree with the others, couple inches will do the trick. I had some 4” apart at one point. If it gets sassy and reaches out a sweeper you can just reposition it
