Hey guys this is my 1ml syringe out of my hanna kit. I am curious if I am adding too much reagent to calibrated the test? With this syringe I have been adding the number 1 picture to the vial.

With that tip on it...which line to I draw the plunger bottom to get 1ml?

Also, on the same syringe without the tip piece on where should I pull the liquid to? 1 or 2? to get 1ml.

Thanks again for any help.

Number one picture is right. Think about it logically, If you didn't have the tip there and you drew it right into the syringe inside that black piston is taking up from .00 to .10 where there is no liquid so you are absently drawling in .90.

Another way to think about it is a ruler, on inches you have 1. meaning 1 inch all the numbers before that are numbers .05 of a inch.

MandM, so if I was drawing reagent into the same syringe without the tip piece on I would fill the fluid to the "number 1" picture too right?

1 is right
also for the sample your would go from 1-2 for the .1ml
crazy small amount for your sample!
