Can I have coral with an anemone?

I want a Nemo and Dory and a symbiotic relationship with an anemone but also want coral.

But, all the anemone I look at say they will kill coral.

Thanks

Nemo would be fine, but I would strongly suggest against getting a blue tang (dory). They need huge tanks to grow and thrive, and a 50 gallon would not be big enough for it. You can absolutely have an anemone with coral, there is a chance that it can sting coral, but that will happen with almost any coral. If the corals get to close they will fight and sting eachother.

Agree with what everybody said. Dory is fish called a tang which grows to be a foot long and is very active. These fish need to eat lots of food throughout the day and are grazers by nature. Many also consider them to be especially prone to ich.

I have a plumbed 220 that I will be setting up next with a refugium instead of a cannister filter. I plan to use this tank to seed that tank with live rock and frags. This tank will eventually be a quarantine. Will that tank be big enough?

Yes, I believe minimum for a blue tang is 180

"Dory" aka Blue Tang will not form a symbiotic relationship with a 'nem or the clownfish (it might bully it though). Just so we are clear the recommended minimum tank size for a full grown blue tang is 180 gallons (that is a tank 6 feet long, 2 feet deep and 2 feet front to back). The Blue Tang reaches a foot in length and roughly 7 inches in height. The 220 would work for one. Definitely use a sump and not a canister filter (most problematic means of mechanical filtration).
