Hello, I have a 340 gallon aquarium. It is 36" deep (top to bottom) and I'm running these euphotica 24" LED lights I got with it.

I have mostly euphylia's in the tank right now with a birdsnest at top and montipora. The "top" of my rock is about 12" from the water surface.

that said at 2am I turn on blues to 5%. By 9am the blues are at 100% and I bring whites in at 55%. I ramp whites up to 100% by noon, then dim blues to 75% between noon and 2pm. From 2pm to 4pm I brighten blues back to 100% and at 3pm dim my whites out until 7pm when whits are completely out. I also starting 4p progressively dim the blues until 12a when I turn of all lights.

Somone I was talkng to said this lighting schedules is way too long. All my corals seem happy, but trying to undestand; Should I chage this lighting schedule to happen over a 12 hour window and leave tank in 12 hrs of darkness? What is the best recommended recipe for success?

Thanks!

Generally you want a lighting schedule of 8 to 12 hours, but I say if it works for you and your corals are happy. Keep doin what you're doin :)
