Question about loud drain line in the sump.

Hi guys (its me again....)
The forum has been very helpful in my journey
Been going through many discussions on how to reduce noise of a durso set up. I was able to completely silence the overflow weir , however experiencing a very loud drain line in the sump. I am aware that using the durso setup I wont be able to get it completely quite , but hopefully I can get it down to some extent as otherwise the Mrs isn't going to be very happy. ( Or do we just have to get used to it ) Here's a quick video showing the noise coming out looking forward ideas. Pretty sure the video seems to be louder than it actually is , but it is quite loud.

Durso lines are noisy...and many places the noise can be coming from in the drain line. One thing...horizontal runs on a drain line are a big no-no since they can trap air in the lines and cause noise. You could try taking out the horizontal section and using 45 degree turns instead and see how it goes.

I don't have a durso system, so I'm not sure all those bubbles exiting the drain line in the sump are normal. I have a herbie design...If I see bubbles or even hear any noise, there's big trouble in my line.

Another options...convert to to a Herbie design...it's really easy!

I have a 1 standpipe drain that was very noisy. What I did was a reverse durso in the sump which helped tremendously. I believe I watched YouTube videos to learn how to make it. Also I made a hoffer gurgle buster (also on youtube) although I do not need that now. My drain is down to a slight trickle noise which is comparable to a water feature is n the house. It's actually kind of pleasant.
