Question about marine pure blocks

Am I supposed to change these things out at any point? I have had 4 in my all in one sump for about 7 months. When I lift out the media basket they do look a bit dirty. I have added copepods so I’m hesitant to change them for fear of wiping out their current housing.

If you move them they will likely turn to sand.
I wouldn’t touch them.

Dirty is ok. Do not disturb- theyre doing what is intended

Okay thanks. I just wanted to make sure they weren’t collecting a bunch of gunk over the time they’ve been there.
