Long time lurker, first time posting. I restarted my saltwater adventure in 2020 after many years out of the hobby due to real life issues. That said one of the first corals I purchased was a toadstool frag (first picture).. It was just a little bit of a thing, but over the last two and a half years has grown to be a very nice specimen in my opinion. My problem is that frag base that it originally was placed on. You can see how small it is in the second picture, and maybe what is my concern in the third picture where I zoom in.

Everyday the toadstool seems to lean a little more to the left, to the point that the frag base has pulled out of the rock where I originally placed it..

I guess my question is should I cut the frag base off? Will that section of the leather attach to the rock I have it on? Do I just ignore it and get on with life?
