I purchased an Indo-Pacific Scolymia, which I later found out had changed identification to Acanthophyllia deshayesiana, commonly referred to as meat corals. I have noticed that even with all the pumps in my tank turned off, except for the return, it appears to gently ripple and sway (the entire coral, not just the tentacles). I was wondering if that is normal for this coral, or if it could be hindering its ability to fully expand if it is the flow? It is sitting in the sand bed, when fully extended it should have a diameter of around 12 inches, possibly larger
. Thanks for any help. Picture below.
