I have had a 10 gallon running for 3 months. It was cycled and I started adding corals. I have no fish. I only have 2 fire shrimp several snails and a couple hermit crabs.
I have a couple torches and several zoas that have been sitting in the sand. I put two separate pieces of live rock when I started the tanks and have come to realize that I have to rescape the whole tank. I want to just add more (new cured rock) into the tank. Will the rock have to cycle??
I will be buying the rock from a local aquarium store that has been having the rock just sit in a tank for over a couple months. Will this be ok to just put into my tank and then glue my coral onto the rock??

That is perfectly acceptable and will change nothing

Dry rock can have issues. You can add it direct. It is better to toss it into a 5 gallon bucket (if it fits) filled with salt water for a week or two and let it leach out whatever it might leach. You can use discard water from a water change. But strictly speaking, it isn’t necessary.
