My Plate coral isn't doing well and think it's on it's way out. I remember reading that someone lost their Plate coral but left the skeleton in the tank and months later it grew back. Is this true can a Plate coral or any coral come back when all that's left is a skeleton?
No major swings in parameters and the only changes I made to the tank was to add a Co2 scrubber that bumped up the pH, no other corals were effected not even the other Plate coral next to the one that's dying.

Sometimes plate corals will grown babies around the old skeleton. I have heard and seen it happen.
Love the spotted mandarin btw. I wish I had a male for my female.

Yes, I remember reading something about a dead plate coral coming back or babies or something like that, thank you. It's looking worse each day, now half of it is just skeleton. Once it's gone I'll just leave it in there and see what happens.
Thanks, I've had the Spotted Mandarin for close to 9 months now and love the little guy. He has started eating live black worms recently, goes crazy for them. He waits below near the sand to pick off the worms that get by the other fish.
