We're about to start plumbing the sump to the tank. Build thread here.
The tank is a peninsula with dual synergy reef 16" overflows.
To keep things neat, I wanted to terminate the return on the same end as the overflow.

Is that a problem? Will the overflows just suck in everything coming out of the return?

Advice would be appreciated.

I set my peninsula up in this manner and have had no issues.

Thanks. Do you think it would be advantageous in any way to dump it on the other end? I can plumb the line above the tank and drop it down opposite the overflow side.

Mine actually enter the same end but come in from above. When I originally set it up, I had my CL returns coming in on the opposite end, again from the top. I really don't see any "advantage" to having the return lines on the opposite end. You're likely going to end up with some flow at that end of the tank anyway.

If you have good circulation in the tank, it shouldnt be a problem. Most all in one tanks that have filtration in the back are made similar to this
