Why do sellers say buyer pays PP fee's? I didn't think this was proper practice. Am I wrong?

You may want to check with your processor. Amex has lowered there rates since they are no longer with Costco. I do merchant services for a living for a major bank and I can tell you my customers are all accepting Amex for everything now since I can get them rates lower than some of the visa, mc, and discover charges.Wow i just got into looking all this up, at my pizzaria we accept credit and american express charges the most on each sale witch is why i dont accept american express u less your dinning, at the end of every week you have to pay off the card companys transaction fees, im not charging people an extra 50 cents for a pie because of that reason, if it was that big of a deal on my part then i wouldnt accept credit period, it just shows that people are greedy and dont want to pay any additional fees nd have there 100$ flat instead of 98, so stumped man(edit i dont have a 10 dollar minimum so its just a hassle when people charge for 1 or 2 slices with american express or capital one otherwise i would )
I don't pay any of those fees lol. I put my own tires on, I dispose of my own tires by selling used tired to companies that do retreads or giving them to recycling facilities. I pay the cost of the tire plus tax. that's it.outside this industry there are others who charge additional fees instead of including them in the price of the item you are purchasing. such as those who sell tires etc.
I kno ive ben informed about this , we made the switch over to programing ipads for our cash registers last april and im pretty sure theyre still lowering their ratesYou may want to check with your processor. I cant even tell you all the bs i get charged for its rediculas, all of this is rediculas , to some people saving 2 dollars on paypals a big deal, but then to others they rather not pay taxes and get "friends and family/gift" to save 2 dollars, all i kno is theirs hidden/bs fees for every bill , but theres a certain extent to witch ill payJust keep a close eye on them just from seeing statements all the time there is a ton of hidden fees that business owners shouldn't be paying.

however that's also an extreme example. because your not talking about additional cost just for the product, your talking about additional cost for services on top of the product. many people say accepting paypal or credit is a convenience on the buyer... no. its to help the seller. if they weren't prepared to accept the cost of business they shouldn't have accepted credit cards or paypal. that was their choice. its easy enough for us to go get cash, but if you cant accept cash its on you.
