Question about products for reefing

HI there ..im not sure if there is a post on this .quite sure many products are discussed in here.
Any chance there is a list of products avail from pharmacies or bulk that would replace or be equivlant too reef supplies ..prices seem to keep going up and would love to have a other source of stuff other then name brand stuff we pay premium prices .
Is this poss or does this go against all the name brand guys

Instead of Kalk that you'd buy in a LFS, I use Mrs. Wages pickling lime from Walmart. Same stuff at a fraction of the cost. I buy a case at a time.

Epsom Salts (Magnesium sulfate)-any pharmacy.Look for unscented.

How do u use it .. is it a powder do u use it as u would kalk...

Do you have specific products that you use now that you would like to diy?

I'm just looking at things to ease the cost of the hobby a bit if rather not loose my tsnk for cost of some of the daily products we use ...thank u for responding randy
