question about protein skimmer and sump

Hi. I'm new and trying to set up a 60 gallon tank. I'm doing Fowlr. I have 60 g tank bought two penguin 350 filters and coralife super skimmer with pump. I was gonna have it all hang on the tank but it seems they won't all fit. So I thought I'd see is there some way to have a sump with just the protein skimmer only in it? Like just out a 10 gallon tank and have the protein skimmer in it. Or would I put the filters there too or how would that work? And info greatly appreciated!

I would suggest getting a wet dry sump for fowler and put all of your equipment there and welcome to R2R

I used to have a 150 gallon fowlr back in 2000 and that's what I did with a canister filter for extra filtration

I would try and find something with a little more water volume.
If you use a 10 gallon tank as a sump, you are probably only going to be able to safely have 6 gallons, maybe 7 gallons of water, if your return point is at the very top of the water in the display tank.
With evaporation you will be having to top off with freshwater every couple days. Unless you add a ATO to your plans.
Bigger is better anyways.
