So, after QT treat prazipro and copper, do i just do water change and starting a new batch of other qt treatment or break down and cycle the QT again for new QT process?

When the fish are moved to DT, I break my QT down and use vinegar and water to clean the tank and all equipment and let it air dry.

You can start a new round of treatment if you see fit at the moment, just make sure to follow the instructions- like with prazipro for example, it asks to start treatment with as big as a water change as possible.

I only keep my QT running when i know i'm going to expect new fish soon. For example, i put a clown in my display tank about a month or so ago, and QT has been running since because i plan to get a couple of new fish next weekend.

I usually drain mine, give it a good wipe down with RO/DI water, then let it dry for 2-3 days. Was told THAT was the most important step. After disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling the filter, I will refill the tank with water from my DT and a ‘new’ foam filter pad which I’ve had soaking in my sump for several weeks, thereby avoiding a cycle, and I’m pretty much good to go.

That makes alot more sense. Thinking about cycle it again would take about 1-1 1/1 months. Is using water and foam filter pad from DT surely control ammonia? or have to watch it closely?

Water from the DT doesn't have much bacteria in it since there isn't any service for the bacteria to colonize on. Buy a Ammonia alert badge from Seachem for your QT.

You must watch it closely. It's always a good idea to also add some live bacteria like Dr. Tim's or Bio-Spira, I like to add some every day for the first few days. You will likely need to do large WCs to keep the ammonia at zero for the first few days to a week depending on how long you've had your sponge seed in the DT. I tend to test for ammonia in the morning and at night until I get all zero readings 3 days in a row. Also it's best to have the sponge in your DT for a couple months or more for the bacteria to really colonize it.

Here is a great write up on ammonia control in a HT:

/Also the ammonia alert badges are great but don't solely rely on them. I've had the ammonia alert badge show no ammonia then tested with my red sea kit and find detectable amounts of ammonia several times.
